Placemats
Found some awesome linen for $1.99 a yard at IKEA a while back. I have already made a table runner out of it and decided to make some placemats to match.
First, I cut some graphics out of vinyl and created a stencil out of it and stuck it to the right bottom corner of each placemat.
Using FolkArt Medium Gray #425, I applied a generous amount of paint to the placemat with a sponge brush.
When dry, I pulled off the vinyl and voila! I do love how they turned out...however, I did iron them and don't love the wrinkles. Such is the temper of linen.
