We moved.

Again.

In that post I said the struggles of a major cross-country move were not over.

In many ways they were just beginning.

As it turned out, they were more than just struggles.

As time went on, it became clear that the differences between the life we had left behind in Seattle and the life we were trying to carve out in South Carolina were just too different. 

Some things that were very important to us, were not available to us in our new surroundings.

After lots of consideration...and prayer...to understand God's will for us...

We decided to put our house on the market.

Just to see what would happen. After all,

 our home had been on the market for years before we bought it.

Maybe nothing would happen...

We had multiple offers within a few days of our house hitting the MLS.

I spent 5 weeks out West with the kids visiting home this summer, 

concurrently acting as our own agent as we went through the process of selling the house.

It was hectic and LOADS of stress.

When we got back to South Carolina we had 3 days to close on both houses and move!

This time, it was not across the country.

In fact, it was just across the border.

The state border.

From South Carolina to Georgia.

We now live in the suburbs of Augusta, Georgia.

Just an hour away.

But a world away.

We deliberately kept things much more simple this time. 

No two acres.

No pool (but trust me we still get loads of pool time!)

And we are so happy with our decision.

We still miss Washington immensely.

It will always be home and we hope to get back there someday.

But for now, our journey continues here.

We are grateful for the experiences of the past.

And look forward to the experiences that this chapter will bring.

If you are struggling with the experience you are having right now 

I hope you will take courage.

Open your heart to the possibility of making a change. 

Even if it scares you.

Expect good.

**Note**

I certainly don't want to offend anyone who might read this from the area that we recently moved from. Just different strokes for different folks.

We got to know many wonderful people and I understand why many of them love it there.

If I had grown up there and had family around me, I would love it too.

My guess is that we felt about the way they would if they were asked to move to the suburbs of Seattle :) I hope everyone will understand and not take offense.
