About Me

My name is Amber Puzey. I am the mother of four and wife to one very supportive husband. Growing up I knew one thing for sure, that I wanted to be a mother. I felt being a mother would both fill and fulfill my days. Even though I attended college and  received my Bachelor of Science degree, I had no intention of becoming a 'career woman.' Little did I know that there was a pretty ambitious, creative, driven, a little crazy woman inside waiting to introduce herself to me. When my first child was born, I fell in love not only with her but with motherhood and all that it is. I truly did not find myself battling baby blues or feelings of 'loss of self or identity.' I loved it (I even enjoyed housework, how weird is that?) I embraced it and found...I was a little bored. I loved it all but found I did have room for more in my life. When my daughter was just six months old I became a sales consultant for a national multi-level scrapbook company and rose to the top 5% of the company. After doing that for eight years I left it in 2005 to create my own design company called {pineplace} which is still in existence today (and what this blog is about). In 2007, I was approached by a marketing company out of California to go to work for them as a development director, which I accepted and worked from home full time as well, until 2015 when, due to a poor economy, 75% of the company was laid off. This change in our family required my husband to pursue a new career and in early 2016 we moved to South Carolina so he could work for FujiFilm. I am still figuring out this new life and looking forward to what this chapter brings. No matter what happens, I still love being a mother the most (after my daughter, we were blessed with three sons)...It's going to be a good life.
